Warming Hearts and Minds: TCWCT Distributes Sweaters at Science Fair, Halol
Vadodara, Gujarat, October 07, 2024 - The Children’s Welfare Charitable Trust (TCWCT) successfully launched its Sweater Distribution Program in partnership with Century Pharmaceuticals Private Limited during the Science Fair at Government School, Halol, Panchmahal District. The initiative provided sweaters to 250 students in Standards 6 to 8, ensuring warmth and health throughout the winter.
Many participants come from economically disadvantaged families, where basic necessities like winter clothing are often unaffordable. Cold exposure can lead to health issues and decreased school attendance. The program aims to address these challenges, allowing children to focus on their studies and school activities.
The Science Fair showcased students’ projects, fostering community engagement with teachers, parents, and volunteers supporting the event. The sweater distribution not only brought joy to the children but also symbolized care for their educational journey.
Volunteers from TCWCT conducted awareness sessions on winter care, offering tips on layering clothes and hygiene to avoid seasonal illnesses, empowering students with practical knowledge for the cold months ahead.
