TCWCT-Mahindra Finance Join Hands for a Cleaner Future: Swachh Anganwadi Project
On February 19, 2025 - The Children’s Welfare Charitable Trust is committed to creating a meaningful impact in the communities we serve, the Organization’s latest collaboration with Mahindra Finance is a testament to this commitment.
Together, we conducted the Swachh Anganwadi Project, a key initiative under the broader Swachh Bharat Mission, aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and better health practices. This impactful program took place at Akota Anganwadi, Vadodara, India, and brought together community members, beneficiaries, and our dedicated teams to work towards a cleaner, healthier future.
The Swachh Anganwadi Project focused on spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining hygiene for better health. Cleanliness is not just about keeping our surroundings tidy; it is about fostering habits that protect us from diseases and contribute to a healthier lifestyle. Through this program, we emphasized the significance of maintaining personal hygiene, practicing safe sanitation, and adhering to WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) principles, which are critical for sustainable living.
TCWCT and Mahindra Finance’s team educated the participants about the steps of proper handwashing—a simple yet highly effective way to prevent infections and promote overall well-being. Demonstrations were held to ensure that the beneficiaries, including Anganwadi children, understood the correct techniques and the critical moments for handwashing.
In addition to raising awareness, the program also addressed the practical aspects of cleanliness. We distributed cleanliness household kits to the Anganwadi beneficiaries. Each kit contained essential items such as handwash liquid, sanitizers, cleaning cloths, garbage bags, disinfectant liquids, and dustpans and brooms. These tools empower families to maintain a clean and hygienic environment in their homes, fostering long-term behavioral changes that align with the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
This collaboration with Mahindra Finance has been a significant step forward in our journey to support community welfare and sustainability. Together, we are making strides toward a cleaner India, where every individual understands and practices the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
