TCWCT Celebrates International Women’s Day

International Women's Day is not just a day; it's a movement, a celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, March 09, 2024 - The Children's Welfare Charitable Trust proudly commemorates the remarkable journey of women worldwide and reaffirms its commitment to the empowerment and upliftment of women and girls, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Today, we celebrate the tireless efforts of women and recognize their indispensable role in shaping a more inclusive and equitable society.

Under the overarching theme of "Invest in women: Accelerate progress," this year's International Women's Day emphasizes the imperative to invest in women's rights, opportunities, and well-being to drive forward sustainable development and global progress.

At The Children's Welfare Charitable Trust, the Organization wholeheartedly embrace this ethos and strive to create avenues for women's empowerment through various initiatives.

One such initiative involves our partnership with the Government of India’s Integrated Child Development Services (“ICDS”) the workers and beneficiaries of the Anagnwadi, where we have been actively engaged in fostering empowerment among underprivileged women. Through collaborative sessions and programs, the Organization facilitates discussions on gender equality, women's rights, and the importance of inclusive development. These sessions serve as platforms for sharing experiences, learning, and collective action towards achieving the common goal of "Leave No One Behind."

Central to our efforts is the empowerment of women through education and vocational training. The Organization firmly believes that education is the cornerstone of empowerment, enabling women to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

Through our education programs, we provide women with access to quality education, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue their aspirations and break the cycle of poverty. By empowering women with the means to support themselves and their families, we are not only fostering economic empowerment but also advancing gender equality and social inclusion.

At The Children's Welfare Charitable Trust, we recognize that achieving gender equality is a collective endeavor that requires the concerted efforts of individuals, communities, and institutions. We stand in solidarity with the global movement for women's rights and reaffirm our commitment to advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in all aspects of our work.
