Shaping the Agenda

Effective public policy requires input from NGOs and the private sector. Through TCPI’s positioning as an NGO, we play a mediating and balancing role between the private sector, government and civil society and facilitate dialogue. We seek to combine theory and practice and try to join forces with others to develop and promote more effective and efficient approaches to poverty-related development issues in developing countries.

Through active engagement in policymaking and legislative processes, we can bring knowledge and expertise to bear in promoting sound regulatory outcomes that balance the needs of all stakeholders. The Children’s Project International continues to form strategic alliances with key civil society organizations and networks around particular issues such as aid effectiveness, strengthening NGO influence on the decisions of the UN and other multilateral institutions. Our current activities and projects are aimed at sustainable development and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
