TCWCT Celebrates World Health Day 2024
The Children's Welfare Charitable Trust and the Government of India’s National Health Mission - the Urban Primary Health Centre Join Hands to Celebrate World Health Day
Vadodara, India - April 7, 2024 - In commemoration of World Health Day, The Children's Welfare Charitable Trust (TCWCT), in collaboration with the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) of Navapura, organized a Health Check-Up camp at Navapura 3 Anganwadi, aligning with the vision of the National Health Mission (NHM), Government of India.
World Health Day, observed annually on April 7th, is a significant occasion dedicated to raising awareness about critical health issues worldwide. Established by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1950, this day serves as a platform to advocate for universal healthcare coverage and address pressing health challenges facing communities globally.
The Organization aimed to underscore the importance of accessible and equitable healthcare for all, in alignment with the theme set forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) for this year's World Health Day.
At the heart of the initiative was the commitment to provide comprehensive health services to the community, particularly focusing on vulnerable groups such as adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The UPHC staff conducted a series of health assessments, including complete Haemoglobin, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), and Blood Pressure checks.
By organizing events like this, the Organization aims to ensure that everyone, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to quality healthcare services. The Organization believes that health is a fundamental human right.
"We are grateful for the collaboration with TCWCT in organizing this health camp," remarked Dr. Vipul Shrimali, Chief Medical Officer of the Urban Primary Health Centre, - Navapura, Vadodara. "It is through such collective efforts that we can address the healthcare needs of our community and work towards achieving universal health coverage."
