On July 30, 2017, The Children’s Welfare Charitable Trust (TCWCT), a Vadodara based 80G non-governmental organization, distributed hot meals to over 500 local disadvantaged people in Tulsiwadi, Vadodara with special thanks to our sponsors Rani and Veraaj Garachh. In our Food Security program, we provide a combination of hot meal delivery and commodity distribution in order to help provide reliable access to nutritious food especially focused on children and expectant mothers. Although food insecurity is harmful to any individual, it can be particularly devastating among children due to their increased vulnerability and the potential for long-term consequences.
“In a world of plenty, no one, not a single person, should go hungry. But almost 1 billion still do not have enough to eat. I want to see an end to hunger everywhere within my lifetime,” said Paritosh M. Upadhyay, Program Director of The Children’s Welfare Charitable Trust. He continued, saying “The Children’s Welfare Charitable Trust continues to focus on building sustainable livelihoods and resilience, so that people are able to help themselves.”
